DeWalt has created their 618PK series router combination packs and they have simplified working with your router table. Now you can keep one base mounted in the table and still be able to use the motor in the plunge base.

This saves you from buying several routers in your shop. The 2 ¼ HP soft start motor gives you plenty of power from its 12 Amp motor. It will spin the larger raised panel bits with no problem as long as you don’t get greedy and try and hog off more material than you should. The variable speed function, electronic feedback and table top height adjustment are all typical DeWalt Quality. This router offers both ¼” and ½” collets and have easy bit removals.

When you install this into your router table you get an instant system, since your fixed base stays put and you have your plunge base for other shop duties. It is like getting two routers for the price of one!
