Full Size Tables FAQ's

What features should I look for in a router table?  This is a long and very detailed question, one that we get a lot.  In fact we get so many people that want to call our question line, that we cannot realistically sit down and have an hour chat to help you determine what table to get.  However we have put some very powerful and knowledgable tools at your disposal.  We have a free 15 page report that is very detailed on what to look for in a router table. When I opened the box and installed the bolt through the t-track, it would not go in.
Acclimate your top, MDF is sensitive to movement and will swell a bit if you change climates, like the table did
when it went through the shipping process.  Let it sit in your shop for a good 12 hours and then try the bolt,
chances are that the mdf swelled a bit and compressed the t-track

What is better MDF, Phenolic or Cast Iron?  The answer to this is really about preference and budget.  There is a really good section in the free router table mistakes buying guide on the home page.  Phenolic has been becoming more and more of a star itself lately, but some people like the added weight that cast iron brings to the equation.
