Miter track and T-track

Can you you t-track instead of Miter track?  I don't see what the big deal is.  You could and it might work fine for now if all you ever wanted to do was attach a feather board.  However that spot is best served by a miter track since you will most likely grow your router table skills and want to use accessories that fit in a miter track.  Then you will have to rip out the t-track and install the miter track.
